Whatever the size or sensitivity of your cargo, our experience will safeguard it for you, ensuring it arrives in perfect condition. We regularly take care of everything necessary for the transportation of Personal and Household effects including specialised packing. Whether you are moving your home overseas or need to transport valuable personal items, we have the experience and knowledge to ensure they arrive safe and undamaged.

Import

As fully accredited brokers we are linked directly to HM Customs & Excise, giving us the capability to transmit customs declarations swiftly & efficiently. We are able to clear immediately any cargo that is transferred to our ERTS.

We are also experienced in handling many types of commodities, including valuable, out of gauge and emergency consignments. Contact us night or day for all types of movements.

If required we can position 20ft or 40ft containers at your premises and provide staff to load containers on site or on our own premises and often ship motor vehicles requiring a loading ramp.

Transhipments

For goods in transit from point of departure we can arrange easy, trouble-free onward transhipment to the point of delivery. As one of the few agents holding a full European Community Transit Bond (CT Guarantee) we organise transhipments from all UK air and sea ports.

Part Loads/Consolidated Cargo We can arrange the collection and delivery of part container loads and can supply ocean containers. For smaller consignments, consolidated cargo can be extremely cost effective. PBS will collect with our own transport, pack and deliver to the port for consolidation and onward shipping. Ro-Ro Ro/Ro is a highly cost-effective means of transport for vehicles or wheeled machinery, allowing towed or self-propelled loading and securing on special vehicle transporting vessels. PBS International Freight Ltd offers a collection service of your vehicle, an insurance inspection service, free wash and delivery to the port of departure to suit your individual needs. Load/Strapping Valuable or sensitive freight needs specialist packing and transportation. Our staff are fully conversant with the requirements for antiques, personal effects and sensitive materials, regularly handling cargo in this category. We are experienced in loading containers and supply custom-made straps to secure sensitive and valuable cargo such as: Aircraft engines, motor vehicles, artwork etc.     Packing We regularly pack goods for export at our premises, or on site. Goods are usually palletised for secure movement and to reduce the manual handling involved. All pallets are wrapped in black shrink-wrap for security purposes. Specialised items such as paintings, antiques, electronic equipment and specific projects need professional packing and bespoke packing crates which can be made up on site. Supply of Ocean Containers We supply seaworthy and non-seaworthy ocean containers at competitive prices for specific projects or storage. We can arrange delivery onto deck to a specified location with Hiab vehicle. Dangerous Goods The latest security measures mean that sending dangerous goods requires professional expertise. Many people are unaware that staff must undertake a five day 'Dangerous Goods' Course and Examination before they are allowed to undertake this work. Our fully qualified staff are capable of dealing with all types of dangerous goods such explosives, chemicals, batteries and all forms of restricted article.
