We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Export/Import Operations Consultant (All-Rounder) to join our dynamic team based at our Gatwick office. PBS International Freight Ltd is a well-established freight forwarder with a focus on niche markets including Restricted Goods and Dangerous Goods. Experience handling these commodities is essential for this role, but we will provide comprehensive training and certification for the right candidate to ensure you are fully equipped to manage and process these complex shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling incoming calls and customer enquiries
• Preparing accurate job quotations
• Processing operational Export and Import shipments
• Liaising with carriers, contractors, and internal teams
• Costing jobs and invoicing
• Occasionally assisting with warehouse duties if required
• Managing your own desk efficiently and maintaining accurate records

Requirements

• Previous experience in Export, Import, Air, Road & Ocean and Customs operations is essential
• Prior experience working with Dangerous Goods and/or Restricted/Defence Goods is preferred
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a team
• IT literate

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 09:00 – 18:00 (1-hour lunch break)

Salary & Benefits

• Salary dependent on age and experience
• 3-month probation period
